The Boeuf, the scrimage and a some scrappin.

Sunday I made Julia Childs Boeuf Bourguignon. I was surprised that it actually turned out and was really good. Dan and the girls all liked it and there were no leftovers.

Saturday the girls had a softball scrimmage at Peroni Arena. They won, I'm not sure what the score was, but they had fun.
You can't tell in the picture but Rebecca's glasses are the same color purple as her uniform.

Here are a couple of layouts I finished recently.

YOU 2

O.k. I admit it I had a very hard time coming up with a title for this one and You 2 is not the greatest title. Other than the title issues I love how this one turned out. I need me some more of that BG paper. I love those doggies and the colors too ;)

I {heart} sketches!

Working on a few things this morning before I head on out for school. And I thought I'd post this layout I created using Pencil lines sketch 170. It's not my usual style, but there is something about it that I really like.

YOU MAKE MY HEART SING

Short post today, but I'm sure I'll make up for it next week. Alyssa and Rebecca have a scrimmage on Saturday. It will be their first time playing softball inside. Their first tournament will be in February. So my blog will once again be full of scrapping and softball.

p.s. I will be working on my blog this weekend too, I have a lot of links to add and some things that need fixing.

Do something creative today, it will do wonders for your mood.

Grandpa's Birthday.

Yesterday was my Grandpa Scott's 80th Birthday. Grandma planned a small surprise party for him. He was home, and everyone started showing up, we didn't want to have him go away and then jump out and yell SURPRISE when he got home. That is probably not a great idea for an 80th birthday. I was able to get some great pictures of both Grandpa and Grandma, and I can't wait to get them printed and scrap them. Here is the card I made for him.

I just finished watching Julie and Julia, for the second time. I really like that movie. We all know that I can't cook very well and some of you even know what happened on Christmas day when I tried to bake an apple pie. (Let's just say that we had a flaming apple pie). I really hate not being able to cook very well, I have learned a few thinks from my SIL Nikki and there are a few things that I can now cook that involve more than just boiling water. I know that there is no way I could ever do what Julie Powell did and cook all of those Julia Child recipes, but inspired by the movie I am going to challenge myself to cook Julia Childs Boeuf Bourguignon Recipe for Sunday. I'll be sure to post pictures of it no matter how it turns out.

Speaking of posting pictures I promised to post a picture of our new table and chairs a long time ago. I'm sorry I forgot all about it until I was going threw pic's from Dan's birthday and found this one of the girls not so patiently waiting for cake and ice cream. (Please pay no attention to the coats everywhere)

On the way to Grandpa's birthday party I had to stop at the store. Dan and the girls stayed in the car with my camera.

I guess there is something funny about pork butt roast.

I'm back...

I've just recovered from the longest mojo drought I've ever had. With work and school and all the everyday stuff, I need to scrap to unwind.

This layout is based on Creative Scrappers Sketch 84. I love these pictures from our hunt for the perfect Christmas tree.

Thanks for stopping by :)

It's that time of year.

Winter officially began on December 21st, and we haven't really gotten much snow here.
We did have almost enough for the girls to go sledding on the 20th when we went to my Grandma's house to celebrate Christmas.

Alyssa tried going down the hill standing on the sled.

She didn't get hurt.

Yesterday December 22, was absolutely beautiful Rebecca, Brianna, Cookie and I went for a walk around the property and took a lot of pictures here are my 3 favorites.

Not much going on around here, just getting ready for Christmas. I am really getting excited about it. I won't be posting before Christmas, so I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

I'm still here.

Wow, it's been about a month since I've posted anything.

Life has been very busy. Work, school, trying to make a few Christmas presents, working on the house, and I have managed to fit a tiny bit of scrapping time in. I've finished 3 layouts in the past month

I only took a picture of this one though. I've been waiting for better lighting, probably not going to happen until spring.

I haven't been taking many pictures lately. I didn't forget that in the last post I promised pictures of our table and chairs. I'll take some pictures soon and post them.

Coming clean on my obsession with Tam's blog and a beautiful weekend.

I have developed a habit, when I can't sleep I come to my blog and visit all the blogs in my blog roll. If I am still not ready to hit the hay, I go to my friend Tam's blog, and visit all the blogs on her blog roll. Tam has links to some really inspiring blogs. Then if I still can't sleep, I do laundry. There is always laundry to do.

We had a beautiful weekend and Dan got a few pic's of the buck that has been hanging around our back field. This one is my favorite.

I don't know if I have mentioned it but a while back Dan and I found an old dinning table and 6 chairs at a sale and bought them. My dad has been restoring them and today my parents brought it up to our house. I am so excited, it is so beautiful. Thanks Dad!
I'll get pictures, and post them soon.
My scrapping time is still limited and I am running really low on mojo, but I have started a layout, and hope to finish it this week.
Thanks for stopping by.
