It's spring!

If you haven't been to Vicki Chrisman's blog yet today, you should check it out.

She had a card challenge and sent 3 different card kits to 20 people, to see what everyone would come up with. All the cards are posted on Vicki's blog, and wow, they are all beautiful.

I had so much fun doing this. She will be doing this again, so if you are interested in being part of the next one keep checking her blog.

Here is my card.

The kit Vicki sent was so pretty, I love the Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage image of the rabbit. I had never used Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage. I was a little intimidated when I sat down to create this card, but it all just came together so beautifully.

We were not required to use everything in the kit, however we could add glitter or ink, stuff like that. I added a little ink around the edges of the circles,(it was suppose to be a flower, but it doesn't really look like a flower.)

To make the circles I used my x-acto knife to score the cardstock then tore the circles out, leaving a rough edge to them. Then inked around the edges.

I really liked the trim that came with the kit, and wanted to make sure it stood out, so I cut a piece of the patterned paper and placed it at the bottom of the card. So the trim would stand out against the darker color. I also used what was left of the trim on my OLW layout below the picture.

I framed the rabbit picture using the rik rak.

Thank Vicki I really enjoyed the challenge.
