I just finished watching Julie and Julia, for the second time. I really like that movie. We all know that I can't cook very well and some of you even know what happened on Christmas day when I tried to bake an apple pie. (Let's just say that we had a flaming apple pie). I really hate not being able to cook very well, I have learned a few thinks from my SIL Nikki and there are a few things that I can now cook that involve more than just boiling water. I know that there is no way I could ever do what Julie Powell did and cook all of those Julia Child recipes, but inspired by the movie I am going to challenge myself to cook Julia Childs Boeuf Bourguignon Recipe for Sunday. I'll be sure to post pictures of it no matter how it turns out.
Speaking of posting pictures I promised to post a picture of our new table and chairs a long time ago. I'm sorry I forgot all about it until I was going threw pic's from Dan's birthday and found this one of the girls not so patiently waiting for cake and ice cream. (Please pay no attention to the coats everywhere)On the way to Grandpa's birthday party I had to stop at the store. Dan and the girls stayed in the car with my camera.
I guess there is something funny about pork butt roast.
