How was your weekend?

Mine was great, the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. I always look forward to the parade and the cookouts.
Here are some pictures from the North Branch parade.

This float was really touching, a local man was just killed in the war. The soldier on the float is real. He isn't a statue, and I'm told he stayed in that position threw the whole parade.

I love fire trucks. The fire trucks are my favorite part of the 4th of July parades. My Grandpa, was Fire Chief the Elba Fire Department. I get teary eyed seeing the fire trucks. I'll be an 80 year old Grandma and still be missing my Grandpa Leach. Another favorite part of the parade for me are the tractors. No sentimental reason, I just love tractors.
After the parade we went to Todd and Janna's for a cookout and bon fire. We got there early, and that gave me, Janna and Tonya a little Margarita time before the party got underway.

We watched the Barns Lake fire works from their back yard. It was a great 4th.

Saturday was my Dad's Birthday. We had a little cookout to celebrate.

The look on Brianna's face in this picture, cracks me up. My mom is telling my Grandma about Brianna winning the burping contest at VBS. Then of course she had to show us how good she can burp. It had been a week since the last time my girls and Joe and Jesse's kids had seen each other. They were so happy to see each other.
Poor Tyler 4 sisters, 3 girl cousins and no boys to play with, but at least he had Baby to play with.

Sunday we stayed home and relaxed, Todd and Janna came over for a little while and the kids all went for a swim. After they left, Diane and Sonny (Dan's mom and Step dad) stopped by followed by Kevin. It was nice Diane and I just relaxed and watched the girls swim. Dan had to fix a flat on our camper and Kevin was working on his car that is in our barn.

And since this is a Scrapbooking blog, her is the card I made for my Dad for his Birthday. It is based on a sketch by Deanne Burton.
