12 years!

November 1st 1996, that is the day Dan and I got Married.

So I took yesterday off work and got my mom to take the girls for the night. And Dan and I spent the day together. Just the 2 of us. I thought I had planned out a fun filled day, but it ended up being a little disappointing.

We went to the Mid-Michigan Renaissance Festival in Vassar not to be confused with the other, better Renaissance Festival in Holly.

These Gypsies were the best part of the whole Festival. We enjoyed watching them dance. Dan was the only man in the audience, so he got a lot of attention from one of the gypsies. It was so funny, she told him he could take her home with him.

Dan liked watching the fighting. These guys were really nice and talked to us for a while between their sward fighting and beating each other up.

This was hilarious, this lady came up to us and asked if she could tell us our future. She smelled like she had just been bathed in whiskey and she was drinking from a flask.

She was telling Dan where to go buy jewelry and some gypsy scarfs. She never did tell us our future. LOL

This is my most favorite picture, the living statue. You will be seeing her on a layout soon.

I haven't had anytime to edit these pictures, some of them are a bit dark.
After the Festival, we decided to go to Frankenmuth, one of my favorite places.
It was the first time I had driven over the covered bridge.

We wandered around and shopped a little. Yankee Candle was having a great sale.

Dan showing me a ornament at Enchanted Forest.
YUMM!
We were getting hungry and were looking for somewhere to stop and eat, but all the restaurants had long lines. So we decided to walk to the Brewery. (We ate there for our 7th anniversary).

But it was closed and up for sale. :(

So we walked back threw town.

Then we went to the Silent Night Memorial Chapel.
We ended up stopping and eating on the way home.
It was nice spending the day with each other.

Glad you two had a day to yourselves! I didn't realize you lived in MI...I'm near Kalamazoo. It's been a while since I've been to Frankenmuth, such a beautiful town. Happy Anniversary!
